Jaxon's First Vacation

Our sweet babe was such a trooper on our trip!
It's about 4 hours each way and he hated his carseat just a few weeks ago.
We were praying he would be better in his carseat by the time we left for Avila
and our prayers were answered! :)
Vacationing with a baby is so much different!
Everything takes longer, you have to pack a lot more, you have to lug around a huge diaper bag and stroller, you can't go walk the pier at night, you have to buy a $600 air conditioner because you accidentally rented a house that didn't have one and your babe is over there crying because he's too hot ): , you can't stay out late and do grown up stuff (whatever that is because, honestly, I would much rather snuggle in bed with my guys and watch some Mickey Mouse Club House!), and your whole schedule revolves around nap time! BUT all of it was worth it and we created new memories that will last us forever!

Knocked out after a long day!

The only family pictures we were able to get because Jaxon was not havin it! lol

 My dad just loves his little buddy!

 His new thing is shading himself lol.
If you're looking for a carseat or stroller, I highly recommend looking into Nuna!

 Lovin on his daddy

I love, love, love all his rolls!

I am truly blessed.
I wouldn't trade this mama life for anything in the world.
This is not how I thought my life would be like at 22 but I thank God so many times a day for my beautiful baby boy, amazing hubby, and loving family.

Tink & Key

"Encouraging others and spreading awareness through our babes."

  Tink and Key is such an amazing small business! The mama behind it, Stephanie Harding, is beautiful and very kind! She aims to spread positive messages through her clothing line and help others at the same time.
  When Tink and Key posted on Instagram that she was looking for a blogger I jumped at the opportunity! I have been looking at her website for a while at all of her cute clothes and had read the story behind her Miracle Baby Tee which made me love the brand even more!
  Tink and Key donates 10% of sales to a featured foundation monthly! Some of the  foundations they help include Harvest Orange County, Miracle Babies, Sisters by Heart, and Preeclampsia Foundation.
  Not only do they have their own adorable clothes you can choose from (for men, women, kids, and babies), they also offer screen printing if you are looking to start your own business or have fundraising shirts made.
  Some people say that it's "too expensive" to shop small but if you think about all of the thought, time, love, and passion that goes into making just one piece of clothing- you would change your mind. Shopping small is all about supporting real families and real causes and Tink and Key is one of the best I've seen. Their prices are affordable and their clothes are adorable- what more could you ask for?
     Here are some of their pieces:

And that's not even all of them!

Avila in Alley + Rae

We took Jaxon on his first vacation this week to Avila Beach. This is our favorite place to vacation! It's the cutest little place right outside of San Luis Obispo. We love to stay at the Light House. It has a nice pool and is right across the street from the beach!

I think the best parts about vacation, besides family, is food and getting new clothes for the trip!

If you like to cook then The Barn is the place to go! It's a super cute farmers market that also has animals you can feed.

If you like to eat out then I'd highly suggest the Fat Cat Cafe, Custom House, Taco Shack, Krava Bowl, and the BEST coffee house ever- Joe Mamas!

{Gotta get a Joe Mama's every morning! Iced white chocolate mocha with almond milk and hubby got the Acai Smoothie}

{If you like iced coffee then I highly recommend the Tan Line with Almond milk!}

{so this mama forgot to bring some sweats just in case it was cold so we mummified Jax with the Happy Wrap instead while waiting for our coffee lol looking like a little Merman}

{The Cacao Bowl at Krava Bowl is amazing!}

{Jax waiting for his Bowl!}

{One thing I learned about my baby on this trip is he is such a people watcher!}

{Our last delicious meal of the trip was from Custom House. These were the BEST fish tacos and garlic fries I have ever had!}

{My boys}

There's two ice cream shops on the Main Street but our favorite is Reimer's. We sampled quite a few lol but this time I ended up with the chocolate chip. It's vanilla ice cream swirled with chocolate chips and caramel YUM. Matt got the Mint choco chip which was also YUM.

We TRIED to take family pics with my Canon on the beach before we got ice cream but Jaxon was not having it lol! I will still post the very few shots we did get once I get back home! I also have pics from his very first beach day on my Canon!

Jaxon's ADORABLE onesies are from Alley+Rae Apparel. They are the 'Ain't a Woman Alive Onesie' and the 'Courageous Bear One-Piece'.

It is pretty hot here so I love that these onsies are SO breathable! Jaxon is wearing size 12 months in both and they fit true to size. We usually have a problem finding onsies that don't squish his chunky legs so it's awesome that these don't!

This company is based out of Utah and have some of the cutest baby and kids clothes out there! All of their clothing is printed on sweatshop-free apparel, made in the USA, and packaged with eco-friendly materials!

They kindly sent me these onesies and gave me a coupon code for my readers! You can get 15% off with code MEMOIR15
